Final treatment areas depend on the package's defined coverage, clinical suitability, and safety considerations. Certain areas, including those close to the eyes, cannot be treated.
Your experience begins with a consultation, where your provider reviews your goals, skin and hair type, and medical history to design a personalized plan. Before your first session, you will typically be asked to avoid tanning beds, spray tans, and intentional sun exposure on treatment areas, as well as to pause waxing, plucking, and depilatory creams for a period of time so the hair follicles remain in place for the laser. You will usually be instructed to shave the areas the day before your visit and arrive with clean, product-free skin.
On treatment day, you will check in, review any last questions, and get settled comfortably in a private treatment room. Your provider may mark or mentally divide your body into zones and then use the Candela GentleMax Pro with settings selected for your skin type. The handpiece is moved systematically over each area, with built-in cooling and additional comfort measures as needed. A full body session is scheduled for about 2 hours, allowing the team to work in an unrushed, detailed way while monitoring your comfort and making adjustments as they go.
